Subject:Identification of warrior sculpture

This sculpture is 25 inches tall and has a 6-character reign mark on its back. Does anyone know what period this is from? It does look to have some age but I'm having trouble finding anything like it.

I read it as a Chinese Xuande reign mark (1426-35):

大明宣德年製
'Da Ming Xuande nian zhi'
(Made in the Xuande reign of the Great Ming dynasty)

I leave it to the experts of Chinese porcelain for further evaluation.
