I recently acquired these two paintings, both by same artist. Can anyone identify the artist and translate the poetry? I would be most appreciative.

The second one is called "Wang Xizhi Loves Geese"--Wang Xizhi is "the best/ the most famous" Chinese calligrapher, who was reportedly inspired by the fluidity of how geese move their necks. Sorry to say but the quality of the picture and inscription are somewhat low. The year it's dated is equivalent to 1933 or 1993 but 1933 seems to make more sense I think, the painter's name is Lin Chaojun (Zhaojun is also an option).

This one is dated autumn 1926, has to do with studying the classics (philosophical texts), same artist. the closeup photos suggest a bit better painting quality than I felt on the other one, good precision of line and coloring (dramatic though it is). These are decorative genre scenes, not fine art." The calligraphy still surprisingly poor and I don't believe it is deliberate given the fine detail he otherwise shows himself capable of delivering with the brush.
