Subject:soapstone(?) 'foo dog' carving

I don't even have this in my possession yet, but I'm pretty anxious to find out more about it. It was listed as Chinese, soapstone, Qing, 19th century, and there was no mention of a signature or mark of any sort. It's ~30mm x 20mm (12" x 8"). Besides the dimensions, I don't know if any of that is accurate. I just really liked it. Can anyone tell me anything definite about it? Thanks.

yes, it is a Soapstone carving, and as a display piece very nice.
It could have been made last week, as it is an easy to carve material.
A signature could be easily added.
