Subject:Question about an Ukiyo-e (by Hiroshige?)
Posted By: Luciano Sun, Dec 25, 2016 IP: 151.28.42.68

Hello,
in a flea market in Rome, a friend of mine has bought the ukiyo-e you see in the attached pictures. The seller said it should be by Hiroshige but I have not found it among his famous "Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji".
Please, may someone help us to know the author of this beautiful print and possibly its title and the publisher of this edition?
Thanks a lot and best wishes for a Merry Christmas and an Happy New Year,
Luciano

The print is by Hiroshige. It is Mitsumata Wakarenofuchi, from the series One Hundred Famous Views of Edo (Meisho Edo hyakkei).

As best I can tell from the picture presented, this is a reproduction.

Cheers,
Stan
