Subject:Vintage tat?
Posted By: Chris Sat, Feb 04, 2017 IP: 81.110.84.32

Hi, attached are images of a small Chinese teapot that I came across in my meanderings. I was struck by the unusual shape and as it didn't say "Made in China", I thought I'd try and find out more about it..

No luck skimming google images so far..

Can some wiser soul put me out of my misery please?

Many thanks.

Hi ..It is a fairly modern 20th C. Chinese teapot, do not think the shape has anything to do with it's purpose, the mark on bottom is a "Qianlong" reign mark basically says made by Qianlong. It is a modern version of the mark, I would estimate 1960-1980's. Hope this helps.
