Message I very much doubt that these paintings have anything to do with China or Japan, or I think probably anywhere in the East. The 'signature' is made up of some strange hieroglyphics that do not appear in my experience to any known language writing system. The red 'seal' mark containing the letter 'S' and with the spikes on the corner would (if Oriental) follow the writing, not precede it. These are pleasant enough landscapes in a vaguely Chinese manner, and maybe should be simply enjoyed as such. Post a Response |
