Message This figure is ceramic, not jade. Concurrent with posting on Asianart.com I submitted photos to a curator of an Asian ceramic museum. He has referred me to page 81, "A Dictionary of Chinese Ceramics", Wang Qingzheng (2002) for photos of similar objects. I've requested the book via interlibrary loan, awaiting receipt.
