Message The base, with its glaze rippled up unevenly around the inside of the foot, along with its perfectly flaw-free surface elsewhere, would seem to indicate this is a contemporary product of a porcelain ornamentation factory somewhere in China or another locale in Asia. So far as I know, this phenomenon results from the base being re-glazed and re-fired to accommodate application of its faux mark. Best regards, Bill H. Post a Response |
