The painting depicting a Bon hierarch wearing encompassing winter robes, sitting on a cushioned throne within a landscape. His headdress is not one specifically associated with Bonpo practitioners, perhaps it is for meditation. Gazing fixedly at his left hand which has the second finger and thumb held close, he holds his right knee with his right hand, possibly for support while meditating. 10 lines of freehand text to the reverse, with corrections. |
