![]() Detail: side view The spectacular visage of the lion headed dakini, the bestower of gnosis is unusually large, and would have come from a major figure, probably from an important monastery. With fangs bared and tongue curled as if to shout; her eyes bulging with malevolent rage; she wears a skull diadem inlaid with turquoise and glass to hold her flaming hair.
