Reading and transliteration of inscription with my rough translation,
木々はみな ましろに雪のふりつみて
はつ日のどかに さしいでにけり
朝晴 雪
良子女王
Kigi mina mashiro ni yuki no furitsumite
hatsuhi nodoka ni sashiide ni keri
Asabare Yuki
Nagako-joō
Trees are covered thickly with white snow
The rising sun gently shines on them
Sunny morning
Empress Nagako
Inscription on the back,
良子女王 御歌 - Nagako-joō go-uta - Poem by Empress Nagako
This poem by Empress Nagako is often copied and appears on auction sites.
She was the wife of Emperor Shōwa (Hirohito)
With regards,
I.Nagy
