Very probably a genuine Ming dynasty jade horse.
Without provenance you'll never get it in any major auction houses though. For example Christie's value could maybe be around $6000 other auctions maybe $400 - $500.

I am I correct that a valid provenance should be in the form of an old receipt or auction house entry? Is there anything else that is valid provenance?
