Subject:Request help identifying Chinese Plate

Hello All,
I recently purchased this plate. It's very nice but contemporary I think. There's no mark. The center base is white paste but the rest of the plate is light green. I'd greatly appreciate any information you might have on this piece. The center design is a raised/incised decoration. Also, what is the animal beast called? Thanks much!
