Subject:Translation Help Needed for Netsuke Pieces

Hello all,
I recently bought several wooden Netsuke sculptures that have writing on each piece. I would like to know if the writing is the artist's signature and if not, what do those symbols mean. I hope the orientation is correct. If not, please point me in the right direction. Thanks.

These are Japanese maker's marks.
