Subject:Coral Red ware bowl
Posted By: John A. Thu, Jan 03, 2019 IP: 2601:1c0:5c01:293d:4 Was wondering if this coral bowl looked accurate to what the old stickers say. I am starting to go through some of my Chinese porcelain and snuff bottles and would appreciate any insight. It was acquired at T.Z shiota in S.Fran. in the 50's or so. |

These two marked Jiaqing-period plates, each about 9.75 inches in diameter, came to the USA in the early 20th century with missionaries returning from China, who reportedly said they were presented by appreciative converts, who'd inherited them from ancestors alive during the Jiaqing period. |
