壬寅仲夏王令聞冩　-　Painted by Wan Lingwen in Mid-Summer of the Year of Water-Tiger (1962)

Wan Lingwen 王令聞　1916-2008
Peking born Chinese-American paintress. Before WW2
learned landscape painting from Puru (Pu Xinyu), then freehand painting from Qi Baishi. After the war she moved with her family to Taiwan and has been teaching painting for living.Between 1962-64 with the help of her overseas students held a touring exhibition in Europe. Later she moved to USA and became a fabric designer while continued painting.
