Subject:Tongzhi mark? Authentic? Chinese translation
Posted By: JOHN CLARK Thu, Jan 14, 2021 IP: 2600:1700:1ce0:2b90: My Fiancé and I were gifted this vase. The original owner was going to throw it out, but I asked if they would allow us to keep it, as I found it to be quite beautiful and elegant. I did a little research to find out what the mark meant and it looks like it could be a Tongzhi mark. Am I correct? Is this vase authentic? I found a website that calls it a stick stand. Does that mean it was meant to house walking sticks? I’m attaching the Website link to show what it could be, but they don’t show a mark on the bottom. What is Famille Rose? Any idea when it was made? Thank you for your help! |
