Hello List,

Please could someone help to identify the lantern which I have shown.

I think it could be Persian from the Qajar period with a linen shade and a place for one candle at the base. It looks as if its made from brass with no engraved motifs or inscriptions. The linen shade is very fragile.

Could someone help to date the lantern and is it an early primitive example or a tourist piece aged to make it look old.
