Detail: BachmannEckenstein is delighted to be part of Asia Week New York 2012 as an Affiliate of the Japanese Art Dealers Association (JADA).

Highlights of our show in New York this year:
- A Letter by Yosa Buson (1716-1783) to Ikeno Taiga (1723-1776).
- A calligraphy by Tokugawa Mitsutomo (1625-1700), grandson of Tokugawa Ieyasu (1543-1616). Mitsutomo was the second Daimyo of the Owari Domain from 1650-1693, a legendary master of the sword, a respected confucian scholar, and an exquisit artist. He studied painting and calligraphy under Shokado Shojo (1582-1639) and Kano Tanyu (1602-1674).
-A calligraphic letter by Kumazawa Banzan (1619-1691), an offspring of a Kyoto-based samurai family. At the age of sixteen, he entered the service of Ikeda Mitsumasa (1609-1682) the Confucian-minded daimyo of the Okayama domain (Bizen).
- A fan painting by Suda Kokuta (1906-1990)
- And some ceramic works and works on paper by Otagaki Rengetsu.
