Detail: Studio Arga will be bringing a selection of recently acquired Tibetan thangkas and book covers, as well as a group of Gandharan sculptures and friezes. Especially worthy of note is a 1st or 2nd century Kushan carved stone panel that formed part of an outdoor stage of a city theatre. It represents a scene of the lovers Charudatta and Vasantasena from the 'Mricchakatika' ('The Little Clay Cart'), written by King Shudraka.
