An Indian Jambiya

19th Century
18 cm. blade
With curved double-edged blade with rounded medial ridge along each side, waisted gilt-metal hilt with engraved central swelling, the base and beaked pommel embossed and chased with flowering foliage against a punched ground on both sides, in its wood-lined scabbard engraved en suite with large bud-shaped terminal, and six small rings for suspension.
