Posted By: Bill H Sun, Oct 02, 2016 The signature line at the left of the inscription (third photo down), says the piece was done by Republic (1912-49) artisan Fan Taihe (Fan Taihe xie - 樊泰和寫). A Google Chinese character search of the signature turned up a number of hits on his porcelain works, a couple of links to which are pasted herewith: |

Posted By: Bill H Wed, Oct 05, 2016 The only thing I saw that mentioned price required a sign-in to view it. Keep in mind, the Chinese yuan or renminbi is not a convertible currency, so its value outside China may be problematic. |

I checked those links, and searched google.com.hk but I found it a little hard to find prices on any of the pieces by the artist. In your searches did you find any closed auctions or sales that gave a price point or valuation? I just want to get a ballpark for what this lamp might be worth. Thanks for any help. |
