Posted By: Jim Wed, Jul 30, 2014 Hi, this vase is Japanese. The right stack reads top down 'Kutani', literally Nine valleys, an area in Japan with several hundred kilns. The left stack would likely be the kiln or studio. I did not find it listed in Gotheborg or other Kutani lists. regards, Jim |

Posted By: simon Wed, Jul 30, 2014 This is Japanese Kutani. Someone can perhaps help you in more detail with a date, but I would guess that it is early to mid Showa period - possibly Taisho. |
