Hi all

Can anyone tell me if this vase is japanese or chinese?
Also how old/what period?

Hi, this vase is Japanese. The right stack reads top down 'Kutani', literally Nine valleys, an area in Japan with several hundred kilns. The left stack would likely be the kiln or studio. I did not find it listed in Gotheborg or other Kutani lists. regards, Jim

This is Japanese Kutani. Someone can perhaps help you in more detail with a date, but I would guess that it is early to mid Showa period - possibly Taisho.
