Subject:Chinese drawings bought on auction (2/6)
Posted By: Andre Bartolomeu Tue, Jan 27, 2015 IP: 79.168.7.107

I have recently bought 6 drawings on auction reportedly from 19 and 20th century. It is my first acquisition on Chinese drawing and would be very grateful to know anything about them. Thanks in advance. PS: as I follow this forum for a while, I heard Rat is the specialist on this category! 

Hi Andre, this one is signed with the signature and seal of Morikawa Sobun (1847-1902), with the kanji reading 曾文 for 'Sōbun'. Again, it is not possible for me to determine if this is an original, or later reproduction, just by looking at the photos.
