I am looking for help to identify the artist for a Japanese watercolor with a unique chop mark.

It's a Japanese Meiji era woodblock print depicting two seated bijin (beauties), not signed by an artist. It had two poems, both signed (not read). The cartouche in the last image gives a date Meiji 21, 7th month (July 1888) and the name and address of the publisher (not read). The anonymous artist who made the design was probably employed by the publisher.

Guy.

Thank you for your prompt response and for sharing your expertise. I never would have guessed that the writings were poems done by different artists or writers...looked like a signed masterpiece to me! It pays to ask questions!
