Posted By: Bill H Tue, May 26, 2015 The late 20th century wax seal is a customs inspection marker, probably from Shanghai, The piece looks like it may be a snuff bottle, its cap now missing. What can be seen of the dragon is in the 18th century style, however the foot and the seal suggest to me that the bottle would be no older than the late 19th or early 20th century if it was cleared for export after 1950. |

Posted By: peter Wed, May 27, 2015 To me this looks like a little vase with its neck cut off. Decorations do not usually go to the very top but there is some white area left. The cut may or may not have been reglazed. |
