Subject:help with translation, old vase
Posted By: donald Thu, Aug 20, 2015 IP: 24.217.91.28

Hello Everyone. I am hoping that someone might help to translate an inscription on a Chinese Black Glazed Vase that we have, also can we ask for a dating? The vase does have heavy Iridescence, and has been in our collection since the 1980's. Thank you all in advance. The third picture was enhanced in an effort to make these characters more legible.

I just found an invoice from 1997 Hong Kong, where it stated that this was Yuan, and the inscription was that of the owner. Can this be the case?

No, there's nothing that resembles a name in the inscription, which seems to be something like 皮重式X十X。I've never seen a Yuan object with this shape and glossy glaze, but I'm no ceramics expert.
