Did you get this from a jade book or a site?

What is its size and true color? Do you own it?

Hi Super,
This is my own collection and the colour is the same as you see it. Size: D 5.6 cm. H 1.9 cm. This was made in late Qing dynasty and the hand work patterns is very hard to master. I post some close up pictures for you to check out. Thanks.

what I see in the lower groove is shattering, meaning a high speed electric tool was used

HI Ernest,

I took some more micro picture, please take a look. The knife work on the groove was deep knife and shallow knife out. This is call the old knife work and the qin colour is on top of the of the craving lines. Also the polish on this jade is hand polish. Thank you for your comment !

Thanks. The reason I asked is because very often white nephrite jade appears as celadon on a computer screen and a celadon one appears to be white. Color of a jade piece also appears to be different in different monitors. Your piece appears to be white on its top but a bit white mixed with celadon on its bottom in my laptop.

This one appears to be a very nice piece, with beautiful carving lines and nice satin polish, no doubt made of nice nephrite jade, that was why I wonder if it may have come off a jade book. Forgive me for asking.

The last picture shows some tool marks that were made by manual tools, very nice indeed. You must be proud to own such a nice piece and thank you for sharing it with us.

Hi Super,
