Subject:large Qianlong mark plate?
Posted By: rcorb Wed, Sep 23, 2015 IP: 98.225.140.126 Can anyone tell if this is an authentic Qianlong mark on this plate. I am trying to learn about Asian pottery and read that the "candlabrum" in the sixth character should have more than 3 prongs and this mark shows only three. The plate has a beautiful raised design and measures 17 3/4" diameter. The back and bottom show some staining and age but the top is in excellent condition. Also, when tapped, the plate "rings" quite loudly.
