Subject:Four stamps on this painting
Posted By: Dennis Loss Mon, Sep 28, 2015 IP: 108.235.226.212

Hello, Can anyone tell me what these four stamps on this beautiful turtle dove painting mean? Who painted it and when? Anything about the subject matter? The white glare on this painting is reflection on the glass not discoloration of the painting. thanks, Dennis

The seal next to the signature is likely the artist's seal. The other three are possibly the seals of different collectors who have owned the work over the years. It was common practice in China to put one's personal seal on works of art in their collection. It actually enhances the value of the work to show it's provenance.

Sorry, I see "Rat" has already handled this question in your other post.
