Hi everyone,here i have this bowl/plate i purchased in Beijing in 1995 from a market. It had been painted black! i thought it was interesting by the weight of it also difficult to tell it was actually wood. After stripping it revealed a wonderful Rosewood which looks to be Huanghuali,ghost face. the inlaid goddess of mercy ,Guan Yin.Not sure if is ivory or bone but well carved.It has shrikage cracks which is probebly why it was painted?,can any experts give me an approximate age to it.Thank you regards Mark
