Subject:Would the Ardabil Carpet Be Considered to Be of Asian Origin?
Posted By: Charon L. Mon, May 02, 2016 IP: 12.187.186.106 I was recently reading about the famous Ardabil carpet in preparation for an upcoming trip to London where the rug is on display. (For anyone unfamiliar, I've provided a link to the backstory of the carpet, though I'm assuming most readers on this forum would recognize it immediately). The Ardabil Carpet is considered a Persian rug and I'm currently caught in an argument with my colleague that this would classify it as Asian art. I was hoping someone with a little more expertise might be able to weigh in on this argument? |

Posted By: Charon L. Tue, May 03, 2016 Thank you so much, Bill H. I knew that the Ardabil carpet had to have been considered of Asian origin but I didn't know how to verify it so succinctly. Using the Bosporus as a regional border is perfect. Thanks again for your help! |
