Wed, Aug 03, 2016 Although I can't say I've seen one exactly like it in form before, this piece otherwise resembles some late Ming to early Qing shipwreck porcelains in its glazing characteristics, decoration and wear patterns. The principal feature I can't confirm to the era is the collar beneath the neck. None of my references, which are by no means vast, show the collar until the early 18th century. Your further research may be able to spot a more precise match. |
