Subject:Unidentified object
Posted By: Chris Downs Wed, Aug 17, 2016 IP: 149.254.250.55 Please see attached images of my mystery object. It appears to granitelike material, inlaid with Chinese (?) characters. Length approx 16" and quite heavy. Is this just some obscure tourist trinket or does it have a purpose? Could it be Indonesian? All advice welcomed and thank you for looking. |

Posted By: bokaba Thu, Aug 18, 2016 It looks like a ruyi or lingzhi scepter. A representation of an auspicious mushroom. It is Chinese and probably made out of some kind of stone. |
