Subject:chinese dragon vase/pot/jar real or fake?

I bought this strange looking vase or jar with vertical ribs and a 3 clawed dragon. The ribs are 2 wide ones and 1 narrow one repeating all around. It's 7" or 18cm high.
The bottom looks old but I got feedback saying perhaps it's just made to look like that. Would it make sense to try and clean it?
