Subject:Would like to identify this Chawan...
Posted By: Kristian Markley Tue, Aug 30, 2016 IP: 73.149.21.29 Was told it came from a Japanese antique shop and was labeled as "TENMOKU CHAWAN (TEA BOWL) SATSUMA WARE, DEEP BLACK, JAPAN". Can you tell me anything more about it? (source ebay, USA) Tenmoku simply means black, though it has deep blue drips on the outside. I take "Satsuma Ware" to be questionable...
