Subject:close up of the wood on the table with inlay on 4 sides
Posted By: Susan Thu, Sep 15, 2016 IP: 184.60.244.51

This photo shows the rail just under the waist on the table's side. There are very tight continuous black squiggly lines running against the grain of the wood. In addition if you zoom in you can also see a series of cursive like gold Cs similar to the ones on the chair closeup of the top rail on the chair back.
I did scrape a shaving of wood from the underside of the table and it did sink in water but I didn't get any dye on a cloth soaked in alcohol. I have read every post online that I can find and nothing describes this wood. Can you help me identify it.
Thanks.
Susan
