Subject:Watercolor Translation Help
Posted By: Lance Frazer Mon, Nov 14, 2016 IP: 67.187.170.37 Just purchased several prints and this watercolor, which I have not been able to translate. I assume it's contemporary, probably by a talented amateur (wouldn't be the first time I've been wrong...today). I'd appreciate help with the translation of what I assume are the artist's name and title/theme of the painting. Also, any wisdom the learned members can impart concerning the type of animal portrayed (carp, I am assuming, but don't know), and its cultural significance would be greatly appreciated. |
