Posted By: Martin Michels Wed, Sep 13, 2017 The mark is Chinese: Da Qing Tongzhi Nian Zhi (Great Qing Tongzhi period made), see picture. Emperor Tongzhi ruled from 1862 till 1874, but I'm not sure this piece is from that period, it's not my expertise. |

Posted By: JBM Thu, Sep 14, 2017 Thank you Martin. I appreciate this information as it validates what I had researched online. I am skeptical about the time made...the Tongzhi period. The color and glaze style just don't seem right in comparison to so many other authentic period items out there. But if anyone else can give insite on the topic, that would be great. And if anyone could give an idea of value as is, that would be even better. I'm not sure what to do with these inherented lamps....Joy |
