Reading of inscription,
騎驢訪友 - Riding on a mule to visit friends
癸山 - Guishan
In this picture the name of mountain is written clearly.
However, Guishan is not a name of a specific mountain.
It is a Fengshui expression, one of the 24 mountains
(directions) which are determining the interrelationships between people. Guishan is an auspicious direction, so the translation of the above inscription is,
Riding on mule to visit friends who are in an
auspicious place.
The another inscription translates,
Go on a scenic tour to auspicious places.
I read the signature,
荀月琳冩 - Painted by Xun Yuelin
(Full name of a female artist)
(Furthermore in China there are no surnames beginning with this 琳 "Lin" character)
With regards,
