Message Signature reads, 逸峰名草芳 Ippō Nagusa Yoshi Seal, 名草芳印 Seal of Nagusa Yoshi Nagusa Ippō 名草一芳 1820-1889 Yoshitarō 芳太郎 was his nickname, where the Yoshi has come from. In Kyōto studied painting from Oda Kaisen. In the Meiji era he lived in Hiroshima, where he taught painting. Exhibited at the 2nd National Industrial Exposition (1881) and the National Competitive Painting Exhibition (1882) where he received honourable mentions、respectively.
