Message Brian, Why do you think that the painting is on linen? If it seems to be stretched and sized canvas, it is certainly cotton. You'd want a textile expert to evaluate the foundation if you have some reason to suspect linen. Method of mounting (i.e. is it stretched on a wood frame) is one thing to look at. Painterly style is another. Visitors to this site could not give any advice on these subjects without photographs. Best regards, Judy Post a Response |
