Dee,

The mark on your vase reads (top to bottom in each column, beginning at top right) "Dai (Great) Qing Guang xu nien (made)", that is, made during the reign of the Qing Dynasty Guangxu emperor, who ruled 1874-1908 along with the Dowager Empress Cixi.

I can't tell you about market value, but ceramics from this reign generally do not sell for the magnitude of sums for good quality porcelain from the earlier reigns of this dynasty. Ceramics of the Guangxu reign are not known for high quality.

The painting quality is fairly good for this period. Your photos don't provide an overview of the vase shape and a picture of the footring, but it looks like probably a meiping shape.

The panel you show is of part of a story, but I don't recognize it. Maybe someone else will know who the Ming Dynasty figures are supposed to be.

I have added lightened versions of your photos to ease others' views of your vase.

Best regards,
Judy
