Message Tigerchips, Judging by the smooth hole in base and rounded-off features in the sculpture (no crisp or sharp detail) this piece was slip-cast: a clay slip poured into a mold. Look for mold marks that may have been smoothed, interrupting the design. This indicates recent manufacture, but whether 2 years ago or 50 years ago, or where, I can't say.
