Japanese silk painting |
Posted By: Bonnie Posted Date: Feb 08, 2007 (08:20 AM) |
Message This is my first time to visit this board but I have been trying for years to find out about my silk painting artist. When my brother was stationed in Japan during the 50's, he was sent a little post card black and white photo of me. I was 4 or 5 years old and he had a Japanese artist paint my photo on silk. It was rolled up like a scroll. My mother had it framed. My brother just passed away in January at the age of 78 and I am now 60 years old. The name is painted in gold and it looks like "Hidaka". Can anyone tell anything about this artist. I thank you so much in advance. Post a Response |
