Where to sell? Antique Fur |
Posted By: David Posted Date: Mar 30, 2007 (07:20 PM) |
Message Hello, I'm looking to sell a couple of antique furs. Looking for ideas on where to sell them. Thanks. Details: Two full-length Manchurian Qing Dynasty blue fur coats Handmade circa 1850, the coats were originally owned by an officer of the Qing Dynasty stationed in Manchuria. The first is a purple sable coat worn in Imperial ceremonies. The second is a full-length coat worn by the officer for hunting and horseback riding. During the Qing Dynasty, the order of the court is that all officers of the court must wear full length coats of purple sable (Martes zibellina), a small marten native to Manchuria and prized for the deep purple color of its fur. The riding coat, for informal and sporting occasions, is lined with top-quality fur strictly from the femurs of black foxes. Post a Response |
