Can you help me with dating and or valuating this item, it is very unusual and I've been told it is of museum quality. We were told it came from a Temple that had been bombed in Japan, a soldier rescued it and brought it back to the USA and we bought it years ago from his son in Sitka, Alaska. Can any of this be confirmed? I am sending photo's. Also I have a drum that I was told was used by Buhdist Monks in there ceremonial prayers at Temple There are markings on the sides and severe wear on bottom of drums hand prints are visible. any info would be appreciated greatly. Thank you
