I am trying to find out some information on a few artifacts that my mother has in her home. She purchased these on a trip to China in the early 80's and she believes that they are either Ming or Ching dynasty, but she has no records or certificates of authenticity for them.
The small vase does have a "sticker" on it from when it was purchased that says it is "circa 1400's, blue underglaze with water dragons and plantain leaves on stem".
The pieces are as follows:
Image 1 (small vase), believed to be Ming circa 1400's, 15.2 cm tall and about 11.4 cm at its widest. Blue underglaze.
Image 2 (large bowl), believed to be "mid" or "late" Ming, 14 cm tall, 28.4 cm diameter, 1.3 cm thick at rim. Blue underglaze, it has a large flower medallion inside the bowl at the center, as well as a flower motif on the inside rim.
Image 3 (large vase), believed to be "Ching Dynasty", 30 cm tall, 17.8 cm diameter at mouth and roughly 25.4 cm diameter at widest part.
None of the pieces have any identifiable mark or seal on them. Although, I know nothing about this sort of thing so I don't know if Ming pieces were marked as such.
Just curious if anyone can identify anything about these vases and bowl. They are in very good condition.
If it seems worthwhile, I may look into have them professionally appraised. But, I'm just curious if anyone has any thoughts on them thus far...
