Message
i acquired this Satsuma vase this week, and was wondering if you could give me any information on it. The seller thought it was dated to around 1880, the Meiji period. It shows 12 immortals and a 3-toed dragon by a river, as well as 3 female figures (which do not have the enameled eyes like the immortals do). It is gilded and has white enameling on the dragon and the eyes.
I couldn't find the mark anywhere on the internet, and I was curious as to what it said, or whose name it was. Can anyone help me with this, or give me a better idea of when it was made?
Thanks so much
