2 handpainted vases |
Posted By: Linda Crofton Posted Date: Jun 12, 2008 (07:15 AM) |
Message Hello there, I inherited two large vases which are handpainted. I cannot make out the name underneath only that it says handpainted and has a gold No 5 in the centre and a number 26 in red stamped on them. The are pale green, with branches and leaves of trees with two birds on them - the one differs by the branch being broken as if it has a love connection. There are beautiful flowers as well and a quite a lot of raised gold trimming - also has a type of gold painted handle on each side as if it could be carried there. My late brother-in-law lived in London for many years and when he passed away a few years ago we were left these two vases. Is there anyone who would know anything about them or where I could find out something about them. Many thanks Regards Linda Post a Response |
